How it works - Installation Guide

1. Setup

Select a Target Type.
Sections are large page areas (like headers, content areas, or footers) that contain multiple elements.

Blocks are individual content pieces within sections (like text, images, or buttons).

Next, choose an option from the configurator and set the date and/or time condition(s). Those rules will be compared with the browser date and time of the individual website user. This also ensures that the same rules apply across different time zones

Compare Mode (optional):

The “Compare Mode” allows you to switch between two sections or blocks based on certain rules. For instance, you can test two dedicated header sections against each other during certain time frames, days of the week, or even/uneven weeks. Afterwards, you can take a look at the analytics or compare order volume.

Note: The regular Visibility Mode will be disabled if Content Compare Mode is active.

2. Identify the Section or Block ID on your Website

Every section or block on your Squarespace website has a unique ID. This ID is also used when you, for instance, want to apply a CSS rule only to a certain block. Here are two ways to identify the correct IDs.

Use the ID Finder Browser Extension (recommended)

This is a handy tool that shows you the ID of Sections and Blocks
Install the Extension - by Will Myers

Use the Browser Console

If you are not scared of looking at the code inspector, you can also find the IDs for each block there.

3. Copy/Paste the Code

Next, go to PAGES within your Squarespace website and click the Gearwheel (Settings) Icon of the page where you want to apply the code.

4. Injection

Click Advanced and paste the code snippet into the “Page Header Code Injection”
